Dunamai Men's Ministry was established to break the bondage that the enemy has over men that are addicted to pornography, cybersex or the many forms of sexual idolatry as a whole. Dunamai is the Greek word meaning "is able" in a powerful and miraculous sense. It is taken from Jude 24(a), "To Him who is able to keep you from falling" and even more definitive in The Amplified Bible "is able to keep you from stumbling or slipping or falling!"
We believe that God can lead men to freedom out of this bondage through rebuilding a relationship with Jesus Christ and the renewing of the mind through God's Word which Paul talks about in Romans 12:2, " And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God."
Men's spiritual growth and development are held captive and in check when they succumb to the enticements of sexual sin, we believe in taking back what the enemy has stolen by guiding men to love and lead their families as Christ loved the Church.
Our goal in Dunamai Men's Ministry is 1) teaching 2) growth and 3) support. The key is to renew the mind through God's Word and give men positive, time-tested teachings to encourage them and give them the tools to overcome their bondage. We use the Bible, God's Word, as our main text in conjunction with the Conquer Series videos and monthly teachings.
We pursue, what I call, the Radical A's in our pursuit of freedom from sexual idolatry. They are Radical Amputation (Matthew 5:27-30), Radical Appropriation, renewing the mind (Romans 12:2) and Radical Accountability (Galatians 6:1-3).
Dunamai's standards of belief are 1) Prayer and promises of God's Word 2) Intercession 3) Time-tested curriculum and teaching 4) Accountability, both within a group setting and one- on-one.
